Emergency Parvo Treatment

Posted under Charity & Death & Dogs & Homeopathic & Homeopathic Treatments & Love & Relationships & Parvo & Pets

Cisco - April 27- October 9, 2009 Over the last 2 weeks our lives have been turned upside down. We lost 2 of our precious 5 month old puppies, Cisco on October 9th and Yogi on October 11th. Sadly our other 2 puppies began showing signs of Parvo and so I placed Pixie into Yogi - April 27--October 11, 2009 the Parvo hospital. Shortly afterward Moxie started showing signs of Parvo so I started researching homeopathic methods after spending a fortune at the vet already.  Below you’ll find remedies and recipes that saved my Moxie. I hope they’ll help your Parvo puppies.

Items to Make & Have on Hand:

Oatmeal Water
Puppy Replacement Milk
Emergency Parvo Tea
Pancake Syrup
Gatorade

Oatmeal Water Recipe:
1/2 gal. Water
1/2 cup oatmeal
1 tsp. Salt
1/3 cup pancake syrup

Preparation Directions:
Boil water and add oatmeal, salt, and pancake syrup. Let sit off burner for approximately 10 minutes. Strain out oatmeal and pour liquid into sealable container.

Puppy Replacement Milk:
For dogs 40-50 lbs use 4 tbsp. Formula powder to 8 tbsp. Oatmeal water.

*For dogs every 10 lbs of weight less than listed above subtract 1 tbsp. each of formula and oatmeal water.

Emergency Parvo Tea Recipe:
2 cups oatmeal water
1 teabag spearmint tea (no caffeine)
1 teabag peppermint tea (no caffeine)
2 teabags chamomile tea (no caffeine)
1 tsp. Pancake syrup
2 capsules Echinacea
250 mg. Gluocosamin

Preparation Directions:
Heat 2 cups oatmeal water, but do not boil. Add all 4 teabags, 1tsp. pancake syrup. Add the contents of 2 Echinacea capsules & 250 mg of Gluocosamin. Stir well, let sit for 20 minutes. Strain and keep liquid in airtight container.

Directions for administration:
Give 1 tbsp. of the Emergency Parvo Tea for every 10 lbs of weight. The first dose should be given immediately followed by a second dose 15 minutes later. After the second dose you administer hourly around the clock. You will lose sleep, but your babies are worth it.

Starting after the second dose of the Emergency Parvo Tea try administering a bit of the puppy replacement milk for nutrients. The tea and oatmeal water will provide electrolytes but the formula will provide nutrition. Administer per directions on package.

Also, using a very clean finger gently rub some pancake syrup on their gums. This makes them lick it and assists in keeping their blood sugar levels up.

There is a set of homeopathic Parvo treatments that I successfully saved one of my Parvo puppies with. If anyone wishes to try it, it will not hurt your sick dogs. It also costs at least 50% less than vet bills. The vet I showed the product to says that the ingredients listed will reduce vomiting and diarrhea and also includes a homeopathic pain reliever. I highly recommend trying it along with the above treatments.

The treatment is called Parvaid and you can buy it from http://www.parvobuster.com. The company ships overnight via FedEx and have the products listed as a "Life Saving Device" if you mention you have a dog with symptoms. My package cost right at $200 USD for the 4 homeopathic treatments and it made my Parvo puppy start eating and stop vomiting and having diarrhea within 2 1/2 days. My other Parvo puppy was hospitalized for over a week and cost me over $400. Another HUGE benefit is that Parvo Busters have 24/7/365 support phone numbers via land line & cell phones if you need support, questions or just a sympathetic listener. Try calling your vet at 3am!!

Cisco - April 27- October 9, 2009 The easiest way we found to administer the Parvaid medications was to add it within a syringe of Gatorade and then give 3 additional doses of Gatorade for fluids. Pedialite, according to experience & the vet, can sometimes cause more vomiting in Parvo puppies which defeats the process.

Whichever method you choose, please PLEASE keep your babyYogi - April 27--October 11, 2009 hydrated and comfortable. We lost 2 dogs prior to receiving the Parvaid and we tried making them as comfy as possible by keeping blankets and hot water bottles on them and held them and loved on them until they passed. I truly hope some of the methods above will help save your babies. They are more than dogs, they are your family.

I’m so sorry. I can only imagine that happening with my dog when it was a puppy.

    Casey,

I’m so sorry you had to deal with losing your cherished animals after working so hard to save their lives. What you’ve done here is an amazing thing to help other people save their dogs. I personally treat my dogs Sadie and Skye like my children. In fact I think they are more spoiled that my kids! They have been such in immense joy in my life I couldn’t imagine losing them. But we all know that death is apart of life. A vicious circle if you ask me, but so is life. The pictures you have of them are memories to cherish forever. I hope and pray that your remedys help save other lives!
    God Bless,
    Shala

I am so sorry to hear you lost your loved puppies. I am fighting this with my two chichiwawa right now the female got it first and she has made it through the critical time but the male is just now coming down with it. I’m on my way to the store to buy what I need for the tea. Thank you again for the information and I am praying that he will make it through this.

    God Bless

Thank you for posting this tea treatment recipe. I found others online with a few ingredient variations, but yours sounded the best. After my parvo puppy was at vet for 2 days on iv, I was told he started eating/drinking so was ok to come home. He was happy to come home, but had no interest in eating the prescription canned food from vet, and the Pet-a-Lite (Pedialite for pets from the vet) made him vomit. Within half a day he looked/acted almost as bad as when I left him at the vet. Started giving him the tea treatment above orally with syringe, which he was able to keep down. Within half a day he was eating my homemade food (pureed boiled chicken, white rice, with oat water for moisture). Continued giving tea until he looked like he was drinking enough water on own, which took about a day and a half. Now, 3 days later, he’s back to being a “normal” energetic, chewing puppy with a healthy appetite. Still mixing a little tea in his food until he’s completely back to dry kibble. I believe the tea treatment in addition to the antibiotic from vet is what saved my puppy. Thank you again for recipe. I’ve already passed it on so others can benefit.
