New Tutorial Series – From PSD to xhtml/CSS!

dreamstime_1781263 I recently received a request from a student of the Art Institute Online to write a tutorial on how to build a static website. She specifically wants to know how to have a header image remain in place while navigating through the various pages.

There are thousands of beginner tutorials out there about how to build a website and such but those make the learner feel as though the tutorial writer thinks everyone is 12 years old. If they don’t make you feel 12 years old then they make you feel like you are learning disabled if you are not already a competent web developer.

Oy Vey! What a Cockamamie Professor!

I swear, for such a “prestigious” institute of higher learning the Art Institute of Pittsburgh sure hires inadequate professors. It seems like every other instructor I get is either incompetent in their field, dang near an absentee instructor, or both!

For those of you who do not know me personally, I’m receiving my B.S. in Interactive Media and Web Design and will soon be receiving my M.S. in Educational Technology. I have been designing and developing websites professionally for a few years now and love, almost, every minute of it. I also privately tutor a few adults in web design for a nominal fee. So, as anyone can see, I’m quite experienced in web design!
