I recently received a request from a student of the Art Institute Online to write a tutorial on how to build a static website. She specifically wants to know how to have a header image remain in place while navigating through the various pages.

There are thousands of beginner tutorials out there about how to build a website and such but those make the learner feel as though the tutorial writer thinks everyone is 12 years old. If they don’t make you feel 12 years old then they make you feel like you are learning disabled if you are not already a competent web developer.

There are websites to showcase beautiful CSS design, websites to assist with developing color pallets, and stock image websites to drool over gorgeous photography.
